COMMON ORDER

Writ Petition No.2013 of 2011 is filed praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to issue an application form; consequently give a direction to the respondent to provide electricity connection for domestic purpose in respect of the property bearing Plot No.871-A, No.5, Morai Village, Thirumalai Nagar, Avadi, Chennai-600 055.

The prayer in all the writ petitions are one and the same. Hence, all the writ petitions are taken up together.

Mr.A.Selvendran, learned counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondent electricity board in all the writ petitions. By consent of both parties, all the writ petitions are taken up for final disposal.

Learned counsel for the respondent states that if the petitioners approach the authority, the authority will issue application form and if the same is submitted with relevant documents, the authority will consider the same in accordance with law.

In view of the above submission made by the learned counsel for the respondent, the respondent is directed to issue the application form as and when the petitioners approach the respondent. If the petitioners submit the application form with relevant documents as required to provide electricity connection to the petitioners premises for domestic purpose, the authority will consider and provide electricity connection if the application with document is in order within four weeks from the date of receipt of such application form duly filled along with relevant documents. All the Writ Petitions are ordered as above. No costs.
