Habeas Corpus Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus directing the respondents to produce the body of the detenue before this Court, namely Pelciya, aged about 21 years and set her at liberty.

The petitioner-father has filed this HCP to trace his daughter aged 21 years, studying B.A. Degree in Sarah Takkar College, Perumalpuram, Tirunelveli District. On and from 25.03.2011, she has been missing. A complaint was given before the second respondent and a case has been registered as “woman missing” in Crime No.129 of 2011. Since no further action was taken, the above HCP has been filed.
2.On notice, the respondent-Police has produced the detenue before this Court.

petitioner was also present before this Court and we enquired him and appraised him of the situation.
4.In view of the fact that the detenue, being a major has gone out with the third respondent on her own wish, married him and living with him as husband and wife, nothing further remains to be considered in this HCP and accordingly the same is closed.
