Petitioner's contention is that he has made an application for grant of security license under the provisions of the Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act, 2005. No action is taken on the petitioner's application which is pending since 2021, whereas as per the provisions contained in Sub-section 4 of Section 7, authority is required to grant or

refuse the license within a period of 60 days but no action is taken on the application of the petitioner.

In view of such facts, this petition can be disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3 to consider petitioner's application and decide it on its own merits, if not already decided, within a period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order being passed today and if already decided then to communicate the order within the aforesaid period.

It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the
