Action under Section 8(1)(b) against Shri Pankaj Kumar Shukla, Absconders

(Uie Gazette of Jjudia EXTRAORDINARY PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY l a - 2616] No. 2616] NEW DELHI, FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 2013/AGRAHAYANA 1, 1935 MINISTRY OF FINANCE (Department of Revenue) ORDER New Delhi, the 20th November, 2013 S.O. 3457(E).—Whereas the Joint Secretary to the Government of India, specially empowered under sub section (1) of Section 3 of the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1988 issued under F. No. U - 11011/04/2012 – PITNDPS dated 10.09.2013 under the said sub-section directing that Shri Pankaj Kumar Shukla S/o Shri T.N. Shukla, resident of Village Bashara, Post Sotipur, PS Varsathi, Jaunpur (Uttar Pradesh), be detained and kept in custody in Central Jail, Tihar, New Delhi with a view to preventing him from engaging in illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. 2. Whereas the Central Government has reason to believe that the aforesaid person has absconded or is concealing himself so that the said detention order cannot be executed; 3. Now, therefore, in exercise of powers conferred by clause (b) of sub- section (1) of Section 8 of the said Act, the Central Government hereby directs the aforesaid person to appear before Shri Rajendra Verma, Intelligence Officer, O/o Additional Director General, Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Delhi Zonal Unit, B-4, 6th Floor, Paryavaran Bhawan, CGO Complex, New Delhi – 110 003 within 10 days of the publication of this order in the Official Gazette.
