EXTRAORDINARY PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 2641] NEW DELHI, WEDNESDAY, JULY 11, 2018/ASHADHA 20, 1940 ¼1½ ¼2½ ¼3½ ¼4½ foyks foyks MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE (Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 11th July, 2018 S.O. 3396(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 29 read with section 14 of the Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers’ Rights Act, 2001 (53 of 2001), the Central Government hereby specifies the following species for the purposes of registration of varieties (other than extant varieties and farmers’ varieties) under the said Act, and for that purpose makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare), number S.O. 1536 (E), dated the 12th May, 2017, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated the 12th May, 2017, namely:— In the said notification, in the Table, after serial number 137 and the entries relating thereto, the following serial number and entries shall be inserted, namely:— Willow Willow 139. Avena sativa L. Oat Jaee 140. Phoenix dactylifera L. Date Palm Khajoor.” ASHWANI KUMAR, Jt. Secy.
