EXTRAORDINARY ' ̂ . - M , ; PUBUSHED BY AUTHORITY Tt. 326] ^ 10, 1999M *5 20, 1921 No. 326] NEW DELHI, THURSDAY, JUNE 10, 1999/JYAISTHA 20,1921 an ^T t ; ' »TT% if : [ m ^ 15/4/99- - ^ A ^ . ] 1735 G i/99 MINISTRY OF INFORMATION AND BROADCASTING ORDER New Delhi, the lOth June, 1999 S.O. 430 (E).—^Whereas the Prasar Bharati (Broadcasting Coipoiation of India) Act, 1990 (25 of 1990) was brought into force on the 15th day of September, 1997 and the Prasar Bharati (Broadcasting Corporation of India) was established with effect from the 23rd day of November, 1997 ; And whereas the posts of the Chairman, Executive Member and a Part-time Member have vacant and the posts of the Member (Personnel) and Member (Finance) are vacant; And whereas the Central Govcrrmicnt has initiated measures for fiUing up the t fo re ^ d posts in accordance with section 4 of the Prasar Bharati (Broadcasting Corporation of India) Act. 1990 (25 of 1990) ; And whereas a difficulty has arisen in the continued Hmctiomng of the Prasar Bharati Board and the affairs of the Prasar Bharati (Broadcasting Corporation of India) are likely to come to a stand still unless immediate action is taken to provide for an interim arrangement by way of filling up of the aforesaid posts on an ad hoc basis; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 35 of the Prasar Bharati (Broadcasting Corporation of India) Act, 1990 (25 of 1990), the Central Government hereby makes the following Order, namely ;— 1, (1) This Order may be called the Prasar Bharati (Broadcasting Corporation of India) Removal of Difficulties Order, (2) It shall come into force at once. 2. Until a Chairman, Executive Member, Member (Finance), Member (Personnel) and a Part-time Member arc ap pointed in accordancc with the provisions of Section 4 of the Prasar Bharati (Broadcasting Corporation of India) Act, 1990 (25 of 1990), the Central Govenuncnt shall, appoint such persons as it deems fit on an ad hoc basis, to discharge the fimctions of a Chairman, Executive Member, Member (Finance), Member (Personnel) or as a Part-time Member, as the case may be.
