A Regulation to provide for the extension of the Transfer of Prisoners Act, 1950 to the Kohima and Mokokchung districts of Nagaland. In exercise of the powers conferred by article 240 of the Constitution, read with sub-paragraph (2) of paragraph 18 of the Sixth Schedule to the Constitution, the President is pleased to promulgate the following Regulation made by him;- 1. (1) This Regulation may bo called the Kohima and Mokokchung Districts (Transfer of Prisoners) Regulation, 1961. (2) It shall come into force at once. 2. In this Regulation, "Kohima district" and "Mokokchung district' mean the Kohima district and the Mokokchung district respectively, mentioned in the Naga Hills-Tuensang Area (Adminis- tration) Regulation, 1957. The Transfer of Prisoners Act, 1950, as in force in the territories to which it generally extends, is hereby extended to, and shall be in force in, the Kohima district and the Mokokchung district. S.
