NOTIFICATION No, 103/1/5/2019-CX-3 Lucknow, Dated: XT, December, 2021 WHEREAS the premises named, detailed and described in the Schedule given below is a place used for importing gas in plant and distribution by refilling to Bareilly, Rampur, Badaun, Shabjahanpur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Pilibhit, Hardoi, Sitapur districts of the State of Uttar Pradesh and Rudrapur, Haldwam, Nainital districts of the State of Uttarakhand; AND WHEREAS information with respect thereto, destruction or obstruction thereof or interference therewith would be useful to an enemy; AND WHEREAS in pursuance of clause (1) of Article 258 of the Constitution of India, the Ministry of Home Affasrs, Government of India have vide their Notification S.O. no. 1285 dated 4th May, 1963, published in Part i, Section 3, Sub-section (ii) of the Gazette of India, Extraordinary dated I1th May, 1963, entrusted the functions of the Central Government to the State Government of Uttar Pradesh in relation to any rnatter specified in sub-clauses (C) and (d) of clause (8) of section 2 of the Official Secrets Act, 1923 (Act no. 19 of 1923); NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers under sub-clause (d) of clause (8) of section 2 of the aforesaid Act, the Governor is pleased to declare the premises named, detailed and described in the Schedule given below to be a “prohibited place" for the purposes of the aforesaid Act and to direct that a copy of this notification in English and in the vernacular of the locality be affixed to the said premises.
