Extension of Nagar palika parishad Maharajganj District Maharajganj

IN pursuance of provisions of clause (3) of Article 348 of the Constitution, the Governor is pleased to order the publication of the following English translation of notification no. 908/1X-6-2019- 04 CV-2016, dated December 28, 2019 for general information : ) Dated Lucknow, December 28, 2019 . . WhEREAS Government nofification no. 1303/9-6-2018-04 C.V.-2016, dated February 8, 2019 was published to invite objections and suggestions on the proposal for including the area mentioned in Schedule-1 in the transitional area of Nagar Palika Parishad Maharajganj, district Maharajganj as required under sub-section (1) of section 4.of the Uttar Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1916 (U. P. Act no. 2 of 1916); Anp, WHEREAS, no objection or suggestion has been received within the stipulated period; Now, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers under clause (2) of Article 243-Q of the Constitution read with sub-section (2) of section 3 of the Uttar Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1916 (U. P. Act no. 2 of 1916) the Govemor is pleased to declare that the area and boundaries specified in Shedule-1 below shall be included in the transitional area of Nagar Palika Parishad Maharajganj, district Mahrajganj for the purpose of part IX-A of the Constitution of India. The Governor, having regard to the population of the area the density of population therein, the revenue generated for the local administration, the percentage of employment in non-agricultural activities and the economic importance, etc. is further pleased to specify that the transitional area of the Nagar Palika Parishad Maharajganj, district Maharajganj as extended by this Notification specified in Schedule-2 shall be the smaller urban area for the purpose of part IX-A of Constitution of India. ~ The territorial area and boundaries of Municipal Council Mahrajganj, district Mahmjganj after including the area mentioned in Schedule-1 shall be as mentioned in Schedule-2.
