Regarding permission to use Indian numerals internationally

Uttar Pradesh Government Language Section-1 No. 524/twenty-one-3(19)-68 Lucknow, the 19th February, 1968 Release In exercise of the powers conferred by section 2 of the Uttar Pradesh Official Language Act, 1951 (Uttar Pradesh Act No. 26 of 1951) and in continuation of the Government Notification No. U.O. 718/17, dated the 30th October, 1952, the Governor is hereby appointed the 26th January, 1968 as the date from which Hindi in Devanagari script will be used for all official purposes in the State not covered by the said Notification.
