EXTRAORDINARY PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 1569] NEW DELHI, FRIDAY, APRIL 23, 2021/VAISAKHA 3, 1943 MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT, FOREST AND CLIMATE CHANGE NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 23rd April, 2021 S.O. 1687(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1), (2) and (3) of section 3 of the Commission for Air Quality Management in National Capital Region and Adjoining Areas Ordinance, 2021 (4 of 2021) (hereafter in this notification referred to as the ‘Ordinance’), the Central Government hereby constitutes a body to be known as the Commission for Air Quality Management in NationalCapital Region and Adjoining Areas (hereafter in this notification referred to as the Commission for Air Quality) to exercise the powers conferred on, and to perform the functionsassigned to it under the said Ordinance. 2. The Commission for Air Quality shall comprise of the following Members in terms of qualification prescribed under sub-section (2) of section 3 of the Ordinance, namely:- Sl. Secretary in-charge, Department of Environment, Government of The National Capital Territory of Delhi. Member 7. Secretary, Department of Science, Technology and Environment, Government of Punjab. Member 8. Secretary in-charge, Department of Environment and Climate Change, Government of Haryana. Member 9. Principal Secretary, Environment Department, Government of Rajasthan. Member 10. Principal Secretary, Department of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of Uttar Pradesh. Member 11. Shri Avinash Mishra, Advisor (NRE), National Institution for Transforming India Aayog Member 12. Member-Secretary, Central Pollution Control Board. Technical Member 13. Dr Prakash Chauhan, Director, Indian Institute of Remote Sensing Indian Space Research Organization. Technical Member 3. The Commission for Air Quality shall comprise of the following Members as Associate Members in terms of qualification prescribed under sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Ordinance, namely:- Associate Members 14. Shri Kailash Chand Gupta, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. Member 15. Shri Vivek Kumar Dewangan, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Power Member 16. Dr Navneet Mohan Kothari, Joint Secretary (Marketing), Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas Member 17 Ms Soumita Biswas, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Member 18. Shri Amitabh Kumar, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Commerce and Industry Member 4.
