Establishment of Gram Nyayalaya Harsul, District Nashik

LAW AND JUDICIARY DEPARTMENT Mantralaya, Madam Cama Marg, Hutatma Rajguru Chowk, Mumbai 400 032, dated the 8th November, 2023. NOTIFICATION No. Gramanya 2021/CR 185/D-XII.— 17 exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Gram Nyayalaya Act, 2008, the Government of Maharashtra, after consultation with the High Court of Judicature at Bombay, hereby directs that, with effect from the 9th November 2023.— (@) there shall be Gram Nyayalaya for the Village Panchayat, Harsul at the intermediate level, sub-ordinate to the District Court of Nashik, in Nashik District ; (8) the said Court shall be presided over by the Civil Judge (Junior Division) and Judicial Magistrate (First Class), Nashik, as a Nyayadhikari (till regular appointments are made), who shall periodically visit the villages falling under his jurisdiction, and conduct trial and proceeding at any place which he considers to be in close proximity to the place where parties ordinarily reside in terms of section 9 of the Gram Nyayalaya Act, 2008, after consultation with the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Nashik ; (c ) the Civil Judge (Junior Division) Nashik as a Nyayadhikari shall have jurisdiction to try all suits and proceedings of civil nature falling under the classes of disputes specified in Part I of the Second Schedule and try all classes of claims and disputes which may be notified by the Central Government under sub-section (1) of section 14 and by the State Government under sub-section (3) of section 14 of the Gram Nyayalaya Act, 2008. The Judicial Magistrate ( First Class) Nashik as a Nyayadhikari may take cognizance of the offences and grant relief, if any, specified under enactments included in Part II of that schedule of the Gram Nyayalaya Act, 2008 and shall 8150 try all such offence or grant such relief under the State Acts which may be notified by the State Government under sub-section (3) of Section 14.
