No. CRC. 0413/466/C.R. 87/Desk 11.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 7 read with sub-section (1) of section 9 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (2 of 1974), in its application to the State of Maharashtra and of all other powers enabling it in this behalf and in modification of earlier notification issued in this behalf, in so far as they relate to the revenue talukas of Shrigonda, Karjat and Jamkhed in Ahmednagar District, the Government of Maharashtra, after consultation with the High Court of Judicature at Bombay, hereby creates, with effect from the 14th July 2019, as Sessions Division for the revenue talukas of Shrigonda, Karjat and Jamkhed in Ahmednagar District and establishes a Court of Sessions at Shrigonda, to be presided over by the Additional Sessions Judge, for trial of cases arising within the limits of the said Sessions Division. The Sessions Judge, Ahmednagar shall also be the Sessions Judge for the Shrigonda Sessions Division and shall have the powers to withdraw unto himself or to assign to any other Court of competent jurisdiction, the cases from the said Sessions Division or to assign unto the Additional Sessions Judge at Shrigonda, any such cases as he thinks fit.
