Government of Punjab Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare (Mandi Branch) Notification No.11/8/2018-M3/ 5.2 79 Chandigarh, dated the =, ///,) /g In pursuance to Chapter-10 of the Industrial and Business Development Policy 2017 notified by Government of Punjab vide No. CC/AddI.Dir/Indl & Business Development/2017/1369 dated 17.10.2017 as amended on 07.08.2018, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to notify that all the eligible units to whom eligibility certificates are issued by competent authority in accordance with clause 17.3 of Chapter 17 of the Detailed Scheme and Operational Guidelines, 2018 notified on 07.08.2018, shall be granted exemption of various fees/taxes on food processing industries from the date of issuance of this notification as under:- "100% exemption from market fee and rural development fee on purchase of agriculture produce for processing by all categories of units, including units undertaking expansion, upto 10 years or upto 100% of their fixed capital investment whichever is earlier, for new units and Fixed Capital Investment made in expansion for already operational units. For border districts and kandi area, Basmati shellers shall not be treated as a negative industry."
