Extension of Nagar palika parishad Gaura Barhaj District Deoria

IN pursuance of the provisions of clause (3) of Article 348 of the Constitution, the Governor is pleased to order the publication of the following English translation of notification no. 1600/1X-6-2020-18C.V.-2018, ‘dated December 20, 2020 : - No. 1600/1X-6-2020-18C.V.-2018 Dated Lucknow, December 20, 2020 ‘WHEREAS Government notification no. 378/[X-6-2019-18 C.V.-2018 dated, September 3, 2020 was published to invite objections and suggestions on the proposal for including the areas specified in the Schedule-1 below in the smaller urban area of Municipal Council Gaura Barhaj, district Deoria as required under sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Uttar Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1916 (U.P. Act no. 2 of 1916); 'AND, WHEREAS, no objection or suggestion has been received within the stipulated period; NOW. THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers under clause (2) of Article 243-Q of the Constitution of India read with sub-section (2) of section 3 of the Uttar Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1916 (U.P. Act no.2 of 1916) the Governor is pleased to include the areas specified in Schedule-1 below in the smaller urban area of Municipal Council Gaura Barhaj district Deoria for the purposes of Part IX-A of the Constitution of India and is further pleased to notify under clause(d) of Article 243-P of the' Constitution of India that the area specified in Schedule-2 below shall be the territorial area of the said Municipal Council Gaura Barhaj district Deoria with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the Gazette.
