Extension of Nagar Panchayat Siswa Bazar District Maharajganj

IN pursuance of the provisions of clause (3) of Article 348 of the Constitution, the Governor is pleased to order the publication of the following English translation of notification no. 1988/1X-6-2019- Dated Lucknow, December 31, 2019 WHEREAS Government notification no. 1878/9-6-2019-02A.Q.-2017, dated 10 December, 2019 was published in the Gazatre dated 10 December. 2019 to invite objections and suggestions on the proposal for including the area mentioned in Schedule 1 in the transitional area of Nagar Panchayat, Siswa Bazar, District Maharajganj as required under sub section (1) of section 4 of the Untar Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1916 (U.P. Actno. 11 of 1916) ; AND WHEREAS, the objections and suggestions received in pursuance of the said notification has been disposed of in Government order no.1972 /9-6-2019-02A.Q.-2007 dated December 28,2019 ; Now, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers under clause (2) of Article 243-Q of the Constitution read with sub-section (2) of section 3 of the Uttar Pradesh Municipalities Act. 1916 (U.P.Act no. Ii of 1916), the Govemor is pleased 10 specify that the areas mentioned in Schedule-1 below shall be included in the transitionai area of Nagar Panchayat, Siswa Bazar, District Maharajganj for the purpose of Part 1X-A of the Constitution of India. The Governor, having regard 1o the population of the area. the density of population therein, the revenue generated for the local administration, the percentage of employment in non-agricultural activities and the economic importance. efc. is further pleased to specify that the transitional area of the Nagar Panchayat, Siswa Bazar, District Mahrajganj mentioned in Schedule-11 shall be the smaller urban area for the purpose of Part IX A of Constitution of India and there shall be constituted for the said area a Municipal Council to be known as Municipal Council, Siswa Bazar, District Mahrajganj.
