EXTRAORDINARY PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 785] NEW DELHI, THURSDAY, MARCH 1, 2018/PHALGUNA 10,1939 ^ f ^ f t , 1 ^ 2 0 1 8 MINISTRY OF SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EMPOWERMENT (Department of Social Justice & Empowerment) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 1st March, 2018 S.0.888(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 29 of the Prohibition of Employment as Manual Scavengers and their Rehabilitation Act, 2013 (25 of 2013), the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Department of Social Justice and Empowerment number S.O. 89(E), dated the 13th January, 2014, namely:— In the said notification, - (a) in clause 1, after paragraph H, the following paragraph shall be inserted, namely:- "I In pursuance of clause (m) of sub-section (2) of section 29 of the Act, the following representatives of agencies,- (i) Shri Bezwada Wilson- Safai Karmachari Andolan (ii) Shri Asif Shaikh Jan Sahas (Garima Abhiyan) (b) in clause 2, after sub-clause (ii), the following sub-clause shall be inserted, namely:- "(iii) The term of office of the representatives of the agencies who are nominated under sub-paragraph I shall be for a period of three years from the date of publication of this notification."
