RNI No. MAHBIL /2009/31748 RURAL DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT Bandhkam Bhavan, 25, Marzban Path, Fort, Mumbai 400 001, ORDER Maharashtra Zilla Parishads and Panchayat Samitis Act,1961. No.ZPA-2024/C.R.71/PR-1.- Whereas, the term of the three Panchayat Samitis mentioned in Schedule-A appended herewith, within the Zilla Parishad Amravati District (hereinafter referred to as “the said Panchayat Samitis”) has expired on 14th December 2024 ; And whereas, the office of the Chairman, Deputy Chairman and Chairman of the Committees of Sarpanchas of the said Panchayat Samitis have become vacant simultaneously ; And whereas, the State Election Commission in its letter dated 4th February 2022, stated that, it is not possible to conduct the Elections of the Zilla Parishads and Panchayat Samitis within the stipulated time limit and therefore, requested the State Government to appoint the administrator on the said Zilla Parishads and Panchayat Samitis. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 75B of the Maharashtra Zilla Parishads and Panchayat Samitis Act, 1961 (Mah. V of 1962), the Government of Maharashtra hereby authorizes the Block Development Officer of the respective Panchayat Samitis within the said Zilla Parishad, Amravati District to exercise all the powers and perform all the duties of the respective Panchayat Samitis till the election of Chairman, Deputy Chairman and Chairman of the Committees of Sarpanchas of the said respective Panchayat Samitis within the Zilla Parishad, Amravati District.
