Amendment Notification Declaring Eco Sensitive Zone S.O. No. 5693(E) around Fambonglho Wildlife Sanctuary, Sikkim

EXTRAORDINARY PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 5461] NEW DELHI, WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 7, 2022/AGRAHAANA 16, 1944 817311/2022/ESZ MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT, FOREST AND CLIMATE CHANGE NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 7th December, 2022 S.O. 5693(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1), clause (v) and clause (xiv) of sub- section (2) and sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986) read with sub-rule (4) of rule 5 of the Environment (Protection) Rules, 1986, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), vide S.O. number 2171(E), dated the 27 th August, 2014, namely:- In the said notification,- (i) in paragraph 2, in sub-paragraph (1), for the words, “Central Government in the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change”, the words “Competent Authority of the State Government” shall be substituted; (ii) in paragraph 3, in sub-paragraph (10), for the word and letters, “Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, SESZMC”, the word and letters “Competent Authority of the State Government, the SESZMC” shall be substituted.
