NOTIFICATION In exercise of the powers conferred under sections 53 and 54 of the Pondicherry Town and Country Planning Act, 1969 (No. 13 of 1970) and all other powers enabling in this behalf, the Puducherry Planning Authority decided to revise the rates of development charges for land and building vide Minutes of Puducherry Planning Authority Meeting held on 16-12-2019. The new rates of development charges for land and building for residential use as applicable to various places are published hereunder as per rule 82 of the Pondicherry Town and Country Planning Rules, 1974. online publication at “https://styandptg.py.gov.in” Published by The Director, Government Press Printed at: Government Central Press, Puducherry. Posted at: Puducherry HPO on every Tuesday (1) Development charges for Land (i) Within Conurbation Area as prescribed - ` 25 per square metre Planning Area-2036. (ii) Outside Conurbation Area as prescribed - ` 15 per square metre Planning Area-2036. (2) Development charges for Building (i) Within Conurbation Area as prescribed - ` 20 per square metre Planning Area-2036. (ii) Outside Conurbation Area as prescribed - ` 10 per square metre Planning Area-2036. The rates of development charges for land and building for (i)Residential buildings more than two dwelling units and (ii) Non-residential buildings/land uses, shall be collected at the rate of two times of residential use. The development charges for building shall be collected for total built up area. The above rates shall come into force with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette.
