L.-33004/98 The Gazette of India EXTRAORDINARY PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 342] NEW DELHI, WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 1998/BHADRA 11,1920 MINISTRY OF FINANCE (Department of Revenue) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 2nd September, 1998 G.S.R 553(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (2) of section 26 of the Smugglers and Foreign Exchange Manipulators (Forfeiture of Property) Act, 1976 (13 of 1976), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Appellate Tribunal of Forfeited Property (Conditions of Service of Chairman and Mem- bers) Rules, 1978, namely :— 1. (1) These rules may be called the Appellate Tribunal for Forfeited Property (Conditions of Service of Chairman and Members) Amendment Rules, 1998. 2389GI/98 (1) (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Appellate Tribunal for Forfeited Property (Conditions of Service of Chairman and Members) Rules, 1978 in rule 11 in sub-rule (2), for the words "six|y years", the words "sixty-two years" shall be substituted.
