NOTIFICATION Lucknow: Dated January, gs 2024 WHEREAS the premises named, detailed and described in the Schedule below is a place used for supplying from Bina Refinery, Madhya Pradesh to BPCL Bhauti Depot at Kanpur for meeting finished petroleum product (MS/HSD) energy demand in Uitar Pradesh State as well as in part of Bihar and Uttarakhand. .AND WHEREAS an information with respect thereto, or the destruction or obstruction thereof, or interference therewith, would be useful to an enemy | AND WHEREAS in pursuance of clause (1) of Article 258 of the Constitution of India, the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government ¢f India has vide Notification no. $.0.1285 dated ath May, 1963, published in Part Il,. section 3, Sub-section (ii) of the Gazette of India, Extraordinary dated 110 May, 1963, entrusted the functions of the Central Government to the State Government of Uttar Pradesh in relation to any matter specified in sub-clauses (c) and (d) of clause (8) of section 2 of the Official Secrets Act, 1923 {Act no.19 of 1923) ; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers under sub-clause (d) of clause (8) of section 2 of the Official Secrets Act, 4923 {Act No.19 of 1923}, read with Government of india, Ministry of Home Affairs Notification No.S:O. 1285, dated 04 May, 1963 the Governor is pleased to declare the premises named, detailed and described in the Schedule given below ta be a “prohibited place” for the purposes of the aforesaid Act and the Governor is further pleased to direct that a copy of this notification in English and in the vernacular of the locality be affixed to the said premises.
