NOTIFICATION UNDER SECTION 36

Notification u/s 36 [ No. 23-33 – 4, dated the 17th June, 1919. – In exercise of the power conferred by section 36 of the Bihar and Orissa Excise Act, 1915 (Act II of 1915), the Board of Revenue for Bihar and Orissa hereby directs that the provisions of section 30 to 35 of the Act as to licenses for the retail sale of spirit shall apply also in respect of licences for the retail sale of pachwai in the province of Bihar and Orissa: Provided that in case of licences which it is proposed to grant out side municipalities an abstract of the revised list referred to in rule 62 of the Rules published under notification of the Government of Bihar and Orissa in the Financial Department No.- 471-F dated the 15th January, 1919 shall be submitted to the Commissioner of the Division, instead of a full list, unless the Commissioner otherwise directs. No. 23-2-9, dated the 29th July,1924 – In exercise of the power conferred by section 36 of the Bihar and Orissa Excise Act, 1915 (Bihar and Orissa Act II of 1915),the Board of Revenue is pleased to direct that with effect fron 1st July,1924, the provision of Section 30 to 34 of the Excise Act shall apply in respect of licenses for the retail sale of hemp drugs,in the municipalities of Patna (Patna City),Gaya, Chapra, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga,Monghyr,Bhagalpur and Cuttack.
