No. DR-lll(i)5/81.-ln exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (I) of Section 32 of the Sree Chitra Tirunal In­ stitute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum, Act, 1980 (52 of 1980) read with sub-section (2) thereof with the previous approval of the Central Government, the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology hereby makes the following amendment to the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Tri­ vandrum Regulations, 1981 (hereinafter referred to as the said regulations) namely:- 1 . Short Title and Commencement.—(i) These regu­ lations may be called the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medi­ cal Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum, (Amendment) Regulations, 1982. (ii) They shall come into force at once. 2. In the said regulations in Schedule II, for the entries under the heading " D. STANDING COMMITTEE FOR SELECTION OF SENIOR STAFF", the following entries shall be substituted namely: "Composition:- 2 . A scientist nominated by the President from among the members of the Institute; 3. Head of the Biomedical Technology Wing of the Institute (Ex-officio); and 4 . A nominee of the Secretary, Department of Science and Technology of the Central Government. Functions:- The Standing Selection Committee on Senior Staff shall meet as often as necessary for the purpose of selecting candi­ dates by interview or otherwise and formulate recommendations for appointment ro all posts carrying a pay scale the maximum of which exceeds Rs. 750 p.m. provided that in every such meeting an expert from outside the Institute nominated by the President and a Senior Professor of the Institute shail be associated." Act 1980 (52 of 1980) read with clause (g) of section 13 of the said Act the Sree Chitra Tirunai Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum, with the previous approval of the Central Govern­ ment hereby makes the following regulations further to amend the Sree Chitra Triunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum Regulations, 1981, namely:— 2. (1) These regulations may be called the Sree Chitra Tirunai Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology Trivandrum (Amendment) Regulations, 1983. (2) They shall come into force at once. 3. In the Sree Chitra Tirunai Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum Regulations, 1981 — (a) after regulation 30, the following regulation shall be inserted, namely:— " 3 1 . Degrees, diplomas and other academic distinctions and titles to be granted by the Institute.—The Institute may confer degrees, diplomas and other academic distinctions and titles as specified in Schedule IV; , (b) after Schedule III the following Schedule shall be added namely:—
