Short title and commencement.-(l) These rules may be called the Debts Recovery Appellate Tribunal (Salaries, allow- ances and other conditions of Service of the officers and employees) Rules, 1993. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publi- cation in the Official Gazette. 2. Defulitions.-=-In these rules, unless the context other- wise, requires,- (a) 'Act' means the Recovery of Debts Due to Banks and Financial Institutions Act, 19~3 (51 of 1993): (b) 'rules' means the Debts Recovers Appellate Tribunal (Salaries, allowances and other 'conditions of service of officers and employees) Rules, 1993; (c) All other words and expression used and not defined in these rules but defined in the Act shall have the meanings respectively assigned to them in the Act. 3. Salary of Officers and employees of the Appellate Tri- bunal.-The nature and categories of officers and employees of an Appellate Tribunal and the scales of pay thereof shalt "be as specified in the Schedule appended to these rules. 4. Conditions of service.- The conditions of service of the officers and employees of an Appellate Tribunal in the matter of pay, allowances, leave. jOinine time, joining time ~ay, provident fund, age of superannuation, pension and re- tirement benefits, medical facilities, and other conditions of service, shall be regulated in accordance with such other rules and regulations as are, from time to time. applicable ~o officers and employees of the Central Govemmem belong- mg to Group 'A', Group 'B', Group 'C' and Group 'D' as the case may be, and drawing the corresponding scales of pay.
