UP GOVERNMENT VIGILANCE SECTION-2 Dated : Lucknow, September 25, 1978 UPA-7/65-Order/1978(Eighth)-In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (2) and (3) of section 2 and sub-section (1) of section 4 of the U.P. Vigilance Establishment Act, 1965 (Act no. VII of 1965) rend with section 21 of the General Clauses Act, 1904 (Act no. I of 1904), the Governor is pleased to make the following amendment in the Order issued under notification no.-1602/XXXIX(2)-217-1964, dated August 29, 1977, published in Gazette Extraordinary of the same date regulating the working and conduct of enquiries by the U.P. Vigilance Establishment, namely : In para 2 of the said order after proviso (2), the following may be added us proviso (3) : "The State Government may, where it is considered necessary or expedient in the public interest, withdraw any case referred by it to the Vigilance Establishment and may likewise refer the case for further enquiry of investigation."
