Shia Central Waqf Board Conduct of Election Rules,1997. Dated - 24 March 2021

IN pursuance of the provisions of clause (3) of Article 348 of the Constitution of India, the Governor is pleased to order the publication of the following English translation of notification no. 679/LI11-2-2021-2(255)-03T.C., dated March 24, 2021 for general information. Dated Lucknow, March 24, 2021 WHEREAS it has been decided by the Government of Uttar Pradesh to conduct a general election for the constitution of Uttar Pradesh Shia Central Waqf Board under section 14 of the Waqf Act, 1995 for the following categories in accordance with the Uttar Pradesh Shia Central Waqf Board and Uttar Pradesh Sunni Central Waqf Board Conduct of Election Rules, 1997 :- 1. Names of the categories for which election is to be held- (a) two Members of Parliament of Shia Community from the State of Uttar Pradesh [Under section 14 (1) (b) (1)]; (b) two Members of Legislature of Shia Community of Uttar Pradesh [Under section 14 (1) (b) (iD)]; (¥ Scanned with OKEN Scanner (b) (u)]; (b) (iv)]. (c) Two Member of State Bar Council of Shia Community of Uttar Pradesh [Under section 14(1) (d) Two mutawallies of Waqfs having an income of Rupees one Lac or more [under section 14 (1) 2. Now, THEREFORE, in pursuance of the provision of section 14 of the Waqf Act, 1995 (Act no. 43 of 1995) read with rule 7 of the Uttar Pradesh Shia Central Wagqf Board and the Uttar Pradesh Sunni Central Waqf Board Conduct of Election Rules, 1997 and section 21 of the General Clauses Act 1897 (Act no. 10 of 1897) the Governor is pleased to direct that the election of members of the Uttar Pradesh Shia Central Waqf Board shall be conducted by Election Officer as per the Schedule given as under:- SCHEDULE | Notification of Election 24.03.2021 2 Prepration of Electoral Roll 25.03.2021 to 3 Publication of Electoral Roll 10.04.2021 4 Receiving of Objection on Electoral Roll 11.04.2021 to 11.00 AM to 5.00 PM. 5 Disposal of Objection 15.04.2021 11.00 AM upto finishing. 6 Publication of final Electoral Roll 16.04.2021 7 Presentation of Nomination 17.04.2021 11.00 AM to 3.00 PM 8 Scruitiny of Nomination Papers 17.04.2021 3.30 PM upto finishing 9 Withdrawal of nomination papers 18.04.2021 11.00 AM t0 5.00 PM. 10 | Publication of List of candidates 19.04.2021 contesting the election 11 Polling shall be held, if it should be 20.04.2021 8.00 AM to 4.00 PM necessary 12 | Counting of Votes 20.04.2021 4.00 PM upto completion of counting 13 | Declaration of Results 20.04.2021 upto finishing of counting According to above time table election procedure will be conducted in the office of Uttar Pradesh Shia Central Waqf Board, room no. 8§17 (3'}’ floor) Indira Bhawan, Lucknow.
