Establishment of Gram Nyayalaya Deoli, District Wardha

RNI No. MAHBIL/2009/31733 LAW AND JUDICIARY DEPARTMENT Madam Cama Marg, Hutatma Rajguru Chowk, Mantralaya Mumbai 400 032, dated the 5th August 2019 NOTIFICATION No. Gramanya 2515/CR 71/D-XIL.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 of the Gram Nyayalaya Act, 2008, the Government of Maharashtra after consultation with the High Court of Judicature at Bombay hereby directs that, with effect from the 10th August, 2019 :— (a) there shall be Gram Nyayalaya for the Village Panchayat at the intermediate level, t.e. Panchayat Samiti area Deoli, sub-ordinate to the District Court of Wardha, in Wardha District. (8) the said Court shall be presided over by the Civil Judge (Junior Division) and Judicial Magistrate (First Class), Wardha as a Nyayadhikari (till regular appointments are made), who shall periodically visit the villages falling under his jurisdiction, and conduct trial and proceedings at any place which he considers to be in close proximity to the place where parties ordinarily reside in terms of Section 9 of the Gram Nyayalaya Act, 2008, after consultation with the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Wardha. (०) the Civil Judge (Junior Division), Wardha as a Nyayadhikari shall have jurisdiction to try all suits and proceedings of a Civil nature falling under the classes of disputes specified in Part I of the Second Schedule and try all classes of claims and disputes which may be notified by the Central Government under sub-section (1) of section 14 and by the State Government under sub-section (3) of section 14 of the Gram Nyayalaya Act, 2008, the Judicial Magistrate (First Class), Wardha as a Nyayadhikari may take cognizance of an offence on a complaint or on 8 police report and shall try all offences specified in part I of the First Schedule and try all offences and grant relief, if any, specified under enactments included in Part II of that schedule of the Gram Nyayalaya Act, 2008 and shall also try all such offence or grant such relief under the State Acts which may be notified by the State Government under sub- section (3) of Section 14. (d) the local limits of the ordinary jurisdiction of Nyayadhikari, Deoli shall comprise of all the village Panchayat at the intermediate level, i.e. Panchayat Samiti area of Deoli.
