Relict) itftwft ^ [ m U 25/1/2003-^S^^] MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT AN© FORESTS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 10th Januaiy, 2003 s.o. 32(E).—in exercise of the powers conferred by section 15 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 (59 of I960), the Central Government, on the advice of Board and on being satisfied that it is necessary for the purpose of controlling and supervising experiments on animals, hereby constitutes a Committee consisting of following persons as its members, with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, namely:- Ministry of Environment & Forests, CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi. 2. Nominee, - Member Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Nirman Bhavan, New Delhi. 3. Nominee, - Member Department of Biotechnology, CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi. 4. Assistant Director General (Animal Sciences),ICAR - Member Department of Agriculture Research & Education, New Delhi. 5. Director - Member Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. 6. Vice-Chancellor, - Member Tamil Nadu University of Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences (TANUVAS) or his nominee, Chennai. 7. Vice-Chancellor, - Member Maharashtra Animal & Rshery Sciences University, or his nominee ~ Nagpur. 8. Drug Controller General of India, - Member Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Nirman Bhavan, New Delhi. 9. Director General, - Member Indian Council of Medical Research, Ansari Nagar, New Delhi. 10. Director, -Member All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Ansari Nagar, New Delhi. 11. Director, - Member Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore 12. Plant Protection Advisor, -Member Ministry of Agriculture, New Delhi. 13. Director (Animal Welfare) - Member-Secretary Ministry of Environment & Forests, New Delhi. 2. The Central Government hereby nominates Special Secretary, Ministry of Environment & Forests & Member to be the Chairperson of the Committee as per sub-section (2) of section 15 of the said Act. 3. The term of the Committee shall, unless sooner dissolved, be four years from the date of its constitution. 4. The Committee constituted earlier vide Gazette Notification No.S.O. 140 (E) dated 17.2.2000 stands dissolved from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette.
