Gaz., dated the 1st August, 2015] CHANDIGARH ADMINISTRATION SOCIAL WELFARE DEPARTMENT Notification The 14th July, 2015 No. SW3/JJ Act/2015/6433.—In exercise of the power conferred by section 36 of Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2000, the Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh is pleased to constitute the Social Audit Committee to monitor and evaluate the functioning of Children Homes under the provisions of above mentioned Act in the Union Territory of Chandigarh with the n •— (i) Secretary, Social Welfare, Chandigarh Administration .. Member State Adoption Resource Agency, Sector 19, Chandigarh Member Union Territory Child Protection Society, (V) Secretary, .. Member Chandigarh Social Welfare Board, Sector 11, Chandigarh (Vi) Representative of Childline India Foundation .. Member (vii) District Child Protection Officer, .. Member Chandigarh The Social Audit Committee will have the following functions : (i) The State Audit Committee shall monitor and evaluate the implementation of the Act annually by reviewing matter concerning establishment, including pendency of cases, at Juvenile Justice Board or Child Welfare Committee and functioning of Special Juvenile Police Unit where required, including ensuring of child friendly administration of juvenile justice and any other matter concerning effective implementation of the Act. Review functioning of Child Care Institutions, adoption agencies covering each district/city and also non-institutional care program including Aftercare being implemented under the Integrated Child Protection Scheme. Submission of annual Social Audit Report to the Chandigarh Administration and also to the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India.
