NOTIFICATION MAHARASHTRA SHOPS AND ESTABLISHMENTS (REGULATION OF EMPLOYMENT AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE) Acr, 2017. No. MSA. 07/2016/CR-218 II/LABOUR-10.—Whereas, the Government of Maharashtra vide Government Notification, Industries, Energy and Labour Department, No. MSA. 07/2016/CR-218/Lab- 10, dated the 19th December 2017 issued, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 11 of the Maharashtra Shops and Establishments (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 2017 (Mah. LXI of 2017), has fixed the hours for opening and closing of different classes of establishments specified in column (2) of the Scheduled appended hereto ; And Whereas, the Government of Maharashtra in the interest of public has decided to give permission to open the Theatres and Cinema Exhibition Houses all time that means 24 hours of a day therefore considers it expedient to exclude the Theatres and Cinema Exhibition Houses from the purview of the said Notification ; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 11 of the Maharashtra Shops and Establishments (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 2017 (Mah. LXI of 2017), read with section 21 of the Maharashtra General Clauses Act (1 of 1904), the Government of Maharashtra hereby amends the Government Notification, Industries, Energy and Labour Department, No. MSA.07/ 2016/C.R. 218/Lab.10, dated the 19th December 2017, as follows, namely :— Entry at serial No. 3 in the Schedule appended to the said Notification, relating to Theatres and Cinema Exhibition Houes, area specified against it in column (3) and hours for closing specified in column (5) are deleted.
