O. 210 (E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (5) read with sub-section (3) of section 6 of the Prasar Bharati (Broadcasting Corporation of India) Act, 1990 (25 of 1990) as amended by the Prasar Bharati (Broadcasting Corporation of India) Amendment Ordinance, 1999 (2 of 1999), the President hereby makes the following Order, namely ;— 1. (1) This Order may be called the Prasar Bharati (Curtaiknent of Term of Office of Part-time Members) Order, (2) It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette. 2. The term of office of the first one third of the Part-time Members of the Prasar Bharati Board shall expire on the 22nd day of November, 2003, the second category of one third of the Part-time Members on the 22nd day of November, 2001 and the third category of one third of the Part-time Members on the 22nd day of November, 1999, respectively, 3. For the purpose of paragraph 2, names of the Part-time Members shall be chosen by draw of lots in public, 4. Tlie Central Government shall draw lots comprising all the names of the Part-time Members in such manner that the first and second names drawn from the lot shall constitute the first category retiring on the 22nd day of November, 2003, the third and fourth names drawn from the lot shall constitute the second category retiring on the 22nd day of November, 2001 and the rest constitute the third category retiring on the IF.
