In pursuance of the provisions of clausc (3) of article 348 of the Constitution of India, the Govemor is pleased to order the publication of the following English translation of notification no. 2176/1X-1-09/53j/1998 Dated October 01,2009 for genenl information. Act no. 2 of 1959), 3s & bl‘he Governor, having regard to the population of the area, the density of the population therein, the revene generated for local administration, the percentage of employment in non-agricultural activities and the economic importance, is pleased to specify the terrilorial area mentioned in the Schedule below to bea larger urban area for the purpose of Part-IX A of the Constitution of India which shall be known as city of Saharanpur Municipal Corporation with effect from the date of publication of this notification in te Gazette.
