intelligence Organisations (Restriction of Rights) Rules, 1998

MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS New Delhi, the 28th May, 1998 G.S.R. 112,^—In exercise of the powers con­ ferred by sub-section (2) of section 3 and sub­ section-(1) of Section (7) of the Intelligence Organisations (Restriction of Rights) Act, ~!985 (58 of 1985) the Central Government hereby makes the fallowing rules, namely: 1. Short title and commencement:. (!) 71tese Rule-: may be called the Intelligence OrsranJsa^cn:; (Res:riction of Rights) Rules, 1993. (2) They shall come into force on the date of ,ihwr publication in the official Gazette. 2. In these rules unless the context otherwise requires "the Act" means the intelliacnc;: Or?anisa- - [tons (Restriction of Rights) Act, "1985 (Act No 58 of 1985). . - . 3. Additional purposes for which a member of an. Intelligence Organisation not to participate in. or address any meeting, etc—No member of an Intelligence Organisation shall participate in, or address, any meeting, or take part .in any demon­ stration organised by any body of persons — (a) for the purpose of protesting against any ' of the provisions of the Act or these rules or any other rules made I'ndcr t]r Act; or (b) for the purpose of prolestins; against any disciplinary action taken or" proposed to be taken against him or against any other member or members of "an Intelligence Organisation; or fc) for any purpose counseled with any mairer pertaining to his remuneration, or other conditions of service cr his con­ ditions of work or his Jiving conditions, or the remuneration, other conditions p? service, conditions of -vork or iiWna conditions of anv other member or mem­ bers of m Intelligence Organisation..
