SBr f;r m[Ilffi, I I F H iE tn o HFl ts EI oFt, H E z F E E E L F PRASAR BIIARAN (Brorrlcroting Corporation of Indla) New Delh, the I SthMarclr' 2002 NoN-10tJt2002-PPC.- In excrcise of the powers conferred by olause (c) of subsection (2) of section 33 read with subsection (2) of section 9 of the Prasar Bharati (Broadcasting Corporation of India) Act, 1990 (25 of 1990), the Corporation, with the pnor approval of the Central Government, hereby makes the following regulations, namely:- 1. Short title and commencement: (i) These regulations may be oalled thc Prasar Bharati @roadcastrng Corporation of India) (Subordinate Engineering Posts) Recruitrrent Regulations, 200 1 . (ii) They shall come into force on the date of thcir publication in the Official Gazette. 2- Applhrtion: Thesc regulations shall apply to the posts specified in column 1 of the Schedule annexed hereto. 3. Initial Constitution: (l) AII persons appoinhd as Assistant Engineer and Senior Engineering assistant and holding these posts on regular basis and who had opted for transfer of thcir services to the Corporation, shall be deuned to haie been appointod from the date of commencement of these regulations to the corresponding posts, grades and the cadres in the service. (2) The rcgular continuous servicc of a person referred to in sub-regulation (l), shall be counted for the purpose of promotion, confirmation and pension in the service. 4. Number of pocts rnd scelcs of pey: The number of the said posts and the scales of pay attached thereto shall be as specified in columns 2 and 3 of the said Schedule. 5. Itlcthod of recruitment, ege limit, qualification etc.: The method of recruitrrent age limit, qualifications and other matters relating to the said post shall be as specified in the columns 4 to l1 of the said Schedule. 6. Disquelification: No person- (a) ufuo, has entered into or conhacted a marriage with a pennn having a spouse living; or (b) who, having e spouse living, has entered into or conffacted a marriage with any F'erson, shall be eligible for appointment to the Service: Provided that the Corporation ffiay, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and there are grounds for so doing, exempt any person frotn the opcration of this rute with prior approval of the Cental Government. 7- Power to relar: Where the Corporation is of the opimon that it is necessery or expedient so to do, it trtay, by order, for reasons to be recorded in rvriting, with prior approval of the Central Government relax any of the provisions of these regulations relating to age limiL educational and other qualifications and minirnum qualtfying service with respect to any class or category of persons or posts. t. Srvings: Nothing in these regulations shall affect rescrvations, rela:ration of age limit and other concessions required to be provided for persons belonging to the Scheduled Castes, the scheduted Tribes, Other backwards Classes, Ex-Servicemen and other categories of persons ion accordance with the orders issued by the Central Government from time to time.
