LAW AND JUDICIARY DEPARTMENT Mantralaya, Madam Cama Marg, Hutatma Rajguru Chowk, Mumbai 400 032, Dated the 31st August, 2023 NOTIFICATION (0098 oF CRIMINAL PROCEDURE, 1973. No.CRC 2019/CR 140(II)/Desk XII.— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 7 read with section 9 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (2 of 1974), in its application to the State of Maharashtra, and of all other powers enabling it in this behalf; and in partial modification of all the earlier notifications issued in this behalf, in so far as they relate to the revenue tahsil of Mukhed in Nanded District, the Government of Maharashtra, after consultation with the High Court of Judicature at Bombay, hereby, with effect from 1st September, 2023, directs that, the Sessions Division created for the revenue tahsil of Mukhed in Nanded District and Court of Sessions established at Mukhed for trial of cases arising within the limits of said sessions division of Mukhed vide the Government Notification, Law and Judiciary Department, No.CRC 2408/344(305)/X1I, dated the 7th October, 2009, which was presided over by the Additional Sessions Judge, Kandhar shall be the Sessions Division for the revenue tahsil of Mukhed in Nanded District and a Court of Sessions at Mukhed, as specified in the Government Notification, Law and Judiciary Department No.CRC 2408/344(305)/X1I, dated the 7th October, 2009, and the said Court shall be presided over by the Additional Sessions Judge for trial of cases arising within the limits of the said Sessions Division. The Principal District and Sessions Judge, Nanded shall also be the Additional Sessions Judge for the Mukhed sessions division and shall have the powers to withdraw unto himself or to assign to any other Court of competent jurisdiction, the cases from the said Sessions Division, or to assign unto the Assistant or Additional Sessions Judge at Mukhed, any such cases as he thinks fit.
