In pursuance of the provisions of clause (3) of Article 348 of the Constitution the Governor is pleased to order the publication of the following English translation of notification no. U.O. VII/1-8-2005 dateq February 11, 2005 Dated Lucknow, February 11, 2005 In exercise of the powers under section 44 of the U.P. Consolidation of Holding Act, 1953 (U.P. Act No. V of 1954), the Governor is pleased to delegate the powers of State Government, under section 42 of the said Act, to the District Magistrate/District Director of Consolidation for appointment of Settlement Officer, Consolidation (P.C.S. Cadre) from amongst the Officers of the said cadre posted in the District.
