No. 190/2019.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 of the Kerala State Commission for Economically Backward Classes among Forward Communities Act, 2015 (2 of 2016) and in supersession of the notification issued under G. O. (P) No. 11/2016/GAD dated 24th February, 2016 and published as.S. R. O. No. 166/2016 in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No. 446 dated 24th February, 2016, the ‘Government of Kerala hereby constitute the ‘Kerala State Commission for Economically Backward Classes among Forward Communities’ with the following members, namely:— , (Rtd, Judge, High Court of Kerala, Emakulam), . Explanatory Note (This does not form part of the notification, but is intended to indicate its general purport.) As per Section 3 of the Kerala State Commission for Economically Backward Classes among Forward Communities Act, 2015 (2 of 2016) Government shall constitute the ‘Kerala State Commission for Economically Backward Classes among Forward Communities’. The Commission was constituted on 24th February, 2016 as per notification issued under G. O. (P) No. 11/2016/GAD dated 24th February, 2016 and published as S. R. O. No. 166/2016 in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No. 446 dated 24th February, 2016. As per sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act, the term of office of the Chairperson and the Members shall be three years from the date on which such Chairperson and Members ‘assumes office. Since the term of office of the Chairperson and the Members expired on 25th February, 2019, the Government have decided to reconstitute the Commission with the Chairperson and Members specified in this notification. The notification is intended to achieve the awe object. -
