EXTRAORDINARY PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 370] NEW DELHI , FRIDAY, JUNE 5, 2015/JYAISTHA 15, 1937 II MINISTRY OF INFORMATION AND BROADCASTING NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 5th June, 2015 G.S.R. 461(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 32 read with sub-sections (7) and (8) of Section 6 of the Prasar Bharati (Broadcasting Corporation of India) Act, 1990 (25 of 1990), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Prasar Bharati (Broadcasting Corporation of India) Salaries, Allowances and other Conditions of Service of Chairman, Whole-time Members and Part-time Members Rules, 2000, namely:— 1. (1) These rules may be called the Prasar Bharati (Broadcasting Corporation of India) Salaries, Allowances and other Conditions of Service of Chairman, Whole-time Members and Part-time Members (Amendment) Rules, 2015. (2) They shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from the 29th October, 2014. 2. In the Prasar Bharati (Broadcasting Corporation of India) Salaries, Allowances and other Conditions of Service of Chairman, Whole-time Members and Part-time Members Rules, 2000, in rule (13), after sub-rule (1), the following proviso shall be inserted, namely: — “Provided that, Dr. A. Surya Prakash, the present Chairman, shall be paid an Allowance of ` 10,000/- per day subject to the overall monthly ceiling of ` 1,00,000/- (Rupee One Lakh) per month, for those days in the month when he is required to perform any official work or duty in the discharge of his functions as Chairman of Prasar Bharati, including attending meetings of the Prasar Bharati Board and its Committees and that no Meeting Allowance shall be admissible separately for attending the meetings of the Prasar Bharati Board and its Committees.” . Explanatory Memorandum.—By giving retrospective effect to the Prasar Bharati (Broadcasting Corporation of India) Salaries, Allowances and other Conditions of Service of Chairman, Whole-time Members and Part-time Members (Amendment) Rules, 2015, no one is adversely affected. Note : The principal rules were published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i), vide number G.S.R. 863(E), dated the 10th November, 2000 and was subsequently amended by number G.S.R. 126(E), dated the 1st March, 2006, number G.S.R. 464(E), dated the 20th June, 2012, number G.S.R. 884(E), dated the 7th December, 2012 and number G.S.R. 167(E), dated the 11th March, 2013.
