Establishment of Court of Additional District Judge, Ambad District Jalna (S. 14,19)

No. CRC. 2420/CR79/Desk XII.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 and 19 of the Maharashtra Civil Courts Act (XIV of 1869), and in partial modification of all other earlier notifications issued in this behalf, in so far as they relate to the revenue tehsils of Ambad and Ghansawangi in Jalna District, the Government of Maharashtra directs that, with effect from the 21st February, 2021,— (a) there shall be a Court at Ambad in the revenue district of Jalna and the said Court shall be presided over by the Additional District Judge; (b) the local limits of the ordinary jurisdiction of the said Court shall be co-extensive with and cover the areas comprising the revenue tehsils of Ambad and Ghansawangi in Jalna District; and (c) all the powers of the Principal District Judge, Jalna in respect of the revenue tehsils of Ambad and Ghansawangi shall vest in the said Additional District Judge at Ambad except those vested in the Principal District Judge under section 9 of the said Act and except his power to assign to the Additional District Judge, Ambad or withdraw unto himself or to assign to another Court of competent jurisdiction, such matters as he thinks fit.
