Amendment Notification Declaring Eco Sensitive Zone S.O No. 814(E) around Keoladeo Wildlife Sanctuary, Rajasthan

EXTRAORDINARY PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 745] NEW DELHI, FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 21, 2020/PHALGUNA 2, 1941 MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT, FOREST AND CLIMATE CHANGE NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 21st February, 2020 S.O. 814(E).—WHEREAS, by the notification number S.O. 2606 (E), dated the 19 th July, 2019 (hereafter in this notification referred to as the said notification), the Government of India in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change had notified an Eco-Sensitive Zone surrounding the Keoladeo National Park in Rajasthan and imposed few restrictions in the said Eco-Sensitive Zone; AND WHEREAS, the Hon‘ble National Green Tribunal vide its order dated 16 th October, 2019 in M. A. 105/2019 in Original Application No. 235/2017, in the matter of Vipas Pandit Vs. Union of India, directed the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change to amend the above said notification; AND WHEREAS, a draft notification to amend the above said notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, vide notification number S.O. 4150(E) dated the 19th November, 2019, inviting objections and suggestions from all persons likely to be affected thereby within the period of sixty days from the date on which copies of the Gazette containing the said notification were made available to the public; AND WHEREAS, no objections and suggestions were received from persons and stakeholders in response to the draft notification; NOW THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) read with clause (v) and clause (xiv) of sub – section (2) and sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986) read with sub-rule (3) of rule 5 of the Environment (Protection) Rules, 1986, the Central Government hereby notifies the following amendments in the said notification, namely: - In the said notification in paragraph 4. „List of activities prohibited or to be regulated within Eco-Sensitive Zone‟, in the TABLE, under the heading “A. Prohibited Activities”, for serial No 5, and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely: - [PART II—SEC. 3(ii)] THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY 3 S.
