The Chandigarh Municipal Corporation (Sewerage Connection and Sewerage Cess) Published in the Chandigarh Administration Gazette (Extraordinary) dated April 17, 2000/Chaitra 28, 1922 No, 1035-FII(8)-2000/3962.- With reference to the Chandigarh Adminis­ tration Local Government Department’s Notification No. 1035 FJ1(8) 2000/2922, dated the 16th Match, 2000 and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub­ section (1) of section 399 of the Punjab Municipal Corporation Act, 1976, as extended to the Union Territory, Chandigarh by the Punjab Municipal Corporation taw (Extension to Chandigarh) Act, 1994(ActNo. 45 of 1994), the Administra­ tor, Union Territory, Chandigarh, hereby makes the following Bye-laws, namely:- 1. These Bye-laws may be called the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation (Sewerage Connection and Sewerage Cess) Rye-Laws, 2000. 2. They shall come into force from the date of their final publication in the 3. The owners of the buildings with in the Municipal limits of Chandigarh shall be liable to pay sewerage connection charges on the following rates, namely: - ONE TIME SEWERAGE CONNECTION CHARGES FOR THE RELEASE OF SEWERAGE CONNECTION FOR THE NEWLY CONSTRUCTED/TO BE CONSTRUCTED BUILDINGS Sr.No. Description of Building Rate for new Sewerage Connection (1) For Fiats constructed by the Chandigarh Housing Board: (i) Flats having covered area upto 500 sq. feet Rs. 500.00 (11) Flats having covered area upto 501 square Rs. 1,000.00 feet to 1000 square feet (iii) Flats having covered area above 1000 square Rs. 2,000.00 ! feet ' (There will be no sewerage connection charges for the Dwell ing Units being allotted under rehabilitation Scheme for Slum Dwellers). 11 (2) In Marla Houses: - .
