Regarding consideration of one year training of Graduate Engineers

Dated:- 18/10/2021 Notification No. TECH-TE-109/150/2021-2TE1 1/269534/2021 The Central Apprenticeship Council (CAC), DGET, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Govt. of India in its 27th meeting held on 18.12.1996, discussed regarding consideration of one year training of Graduate Engineers. Technicians and 10+2 Vocational Apprentices as experience vide Agenda Item No. 17: To cONSIDER RECOGNITION OF ONE YEAR APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING OF GRADUATE, TECHNICIAN AND TECHNICIAN (VOCATIONAL) AS EXPERIENCE FOR EMPLOYMENT UNDER CENTRAL/STATE ESTABLISHMENTS. The Council decided to resolve that one year Apprenticeship Training of Graduate, Technicians and 10+2 Vocational Apprentices as experience for employment under central/ State Establishments. 2. The above decision of the CAC was adopted and conveyed to all Employing Ministries/Departments/Plenning Commission/ Bureau of Enterprises and All State Govts including Union Temitoies Administration by the Additional Apprenticeship Adviser, Department of Education Ministry of Human Resources Development. Govn. of India vide its letter No. F.36-14-TS. V. dated 6th May 1997. The Department also requested to amend/incorporate suitably necessary recruitment rules for such posts so that those training Graduate Engineers, Technicians and Technicians Voc. Apprentices got preference while applying for job opportunities in different Central/State establishments. The Govt. of Punjab has accepted and adopted this decision of Central Apprenticeship Council (CAC) DGET, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Govt. of India and the directions to implement this decision conveyed by Department of Education Ministry of MHRD vide its letter dated 6th May 1997. So all the Departments/Boards/Corporations/State PSUs/other State Govt. Entities under substantial control of State Govt. may amend /incorporate suitably necessary recruitment rules for such posts providing for one year Apprenticeship Training for these Apprentices as experience so that the Graduate Engineers, Technicians and Technicians Voc. Apprentices get preference while applying for job opportunities these establishments. 12/10/2021 Principal Secretary to Govt.
