Short title and commencement. [Passed by the West Bengal Legislature.] [Assent of the Governor was first published in theKolkata Gazette, Extraordinary, of the 31st March, 2022.] WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the West Bengal Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management Act, 2010, for the purpose and in themannerhereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted in the Seventy-third Year of the Republic of India, by the Legislature ofWest Bengal, as follows:- 1. (1) This Act may be called the West Bengal Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (Amendment) Act, 2022. West Ben. Act XIV of 2010. Amendment of section 4 ofWest Ben. Act XIV of THE KOLKATA GAZETTE, EXTRAORDINARY, MARCH 31, 2022 The West Bengal Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (Amendment) Act, 2022. (Section 2.) 2) It shall come into force at once. 2. In theWest Bengal Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management Act, 2010, in section 4, in sub-section (2), after the fourth proviso, the following proviso shall be inserted:- "Provided also that the maximum fiscal deficit as percentage of Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) shall be 5% during 2021-22 only.".
