( 10) ( II ) ~ t,<IT . ~vr;:;tfu~(~)-~~mm I MINISTRY OF CIVIL AVIATION New Delhi, the IstAugust, 2012 G.S.R. 60S(E).-In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of Section 9 read with clause (e) ofs~b­ section (I) of Section 51 of the Airports Economic Regulatory Authority of India Act, 2008 (Act 27 of2008), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules regulating the terms and conditions of service relating to the post of Secretary to the Airports Economic Regulatory Authority, namely : ­ 1.Short title and commencement.-{ I) These Rules may be called the Airports Economic Regulatory Authority (Secretary), Recruitment Rules, 20 12. ~ (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Number of the posts, classification, pay band, grade payor pay scale.-The number of the said post, its classification and the pay band, grade of payor pay scale attached thereto shall be as specified in Column (2) to (4) of the Schedule annexed to these rules. 3. Method of Recruitment, etc.-The method of recruitment, eligibility, experience and qualification relating to aforesaid post shall be as specified in Column (5) to (8) of the said Schedule - 1. (a) who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living; or (b) who, having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person shall be eligible for appointment to the said post: Provided that the Central Government may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to such persons and the other party to the marriage and there are other grounds for so doing, exempt any persons from the operations of this rule . 5. Power to Relax.-Where the Central Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do, it may by order, for reasons to be recorded in writing, relax any of the provisions of these rules with respect to any class or category of persons. 6. Saving.-Nothing in these rules shall affect reservations, relaxation ofage limit and other concessions required to be provided for the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes and other special categories of persons in accordance with the orders issued by the Central Govemment, from time to time in this regard.
