Short Title and Commencement: (1) These regulations may be called the Prasar Bharati (Broadcasting Corporation of India), Authorities for Disciplinary Proceedings Regulations, 2012. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official I Gazette. 2. Disciplinary Proceedings: The provrsrons of the Central Civil Services (Conduct) Rules, 1964 and the Central Civil Services (Classifications, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1965 shall be applicable in respect of disciplinary proceedings against the officers and employees referred to in sub-section (1) and sub-section (2) of section 11 of the Prasar Bharati Act, 1990. 3. Authorities for disciplinary proceedings: The Disciplinary Authority specified in column (3) of the table given below, the Appellate Authority specified in the corresponding entry in column (4) of the said table, and the Reviewing Authority specified in the corresponding entry in column (5) thereof shall be the authorities for disciplinary proceedings and shall exercise their respective powers to impose minor and major penalties, except the power to impose major penalty of compulsory retirement, or removal, or dismissal from service in respect of the classification of posts specified against corresponding entries under column (2) of the said table.
