Regarding publication of notification regarding the number of posts in Maharashtra Development Service, Group-B cadre

No. MDS.1022/C.R.172/2022/Est.3A.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (6) of Rule 3 [read with the proviso to clause (a), (b) and (c) of Rule 6] of the Maharashtra Development Service (Constitution, Classification and Recruitment) Rules, 1973 the Government of Maharashtra, hereby Publishing the Draft Notification, and notice is hereby given that any objections or suggestions with required Document with proof, which may be received by the concerned Divisional Commissioner, from any Maharashtra Development Service officer, with respect to the said draft before the date of 30.12.2022 will be considered by the Government. And by considering above objections or suggestions final notification will be published in the Government Gazette. In exercise of the powers conferred by above provisions; Government of Maharashtra, hereby; 2. (a) Directs that for the date 1.1.1979 to 1.1.2012, specified in a Column (2) of the Schedule-1 hereto, the Maharashtra Development Service, Class-II Cadre shall consist of the posts as specified in respect of that year in Column (3) to Column (8) of the said Schedule-1; (b) Directs that the strength of the Permanent Posts in respect of the said year shall be such as specified against each such year in Column (10) of the said Schedule-1; 3. (a) Directs that for the date 1.1.2013 to 10.8.2022, specified in a Column (2) of the Schedule-2 hereto, the Maharashtra Development Service, Class-II Cadre shall consist of the posts as specified in respect of that year in Column (3) to Column (9) of the said Schedule-2; (b) Directs that the strength of the Permanent Posts in respect of the said year shall be such as specified against each such year in Column (11) of the said Schedule-2; 4. Directs that w.e.f. 1.1.1979, the ratio for the appointment to the posts to the Maharashtra Development Service, Class-II Cadre shall be 50:50, that is to say 50% by Nomination and 50% by Promotion.
