(1) These regulations may be called the National Highways Authority of India (Recruitment, Seniority and Promotion) Amendment Regulations, 2010. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2 In the Schedule to the National Highways Authority of India (Recruitment, Seniority and Promotion) Regulations, 1996 (hereinafter referred to as the principal regulations), therSchedules prescribing the eligibility criteria and qualifications for the following posts shall be inserted; namely:- “Deputy General Manager (Legal) Manager (Legal)? 3. In the Schedule to the principal regulations, against the post of General Manager (Law), in column I, for the entry, the following entry shall be substituted, namely:- “Name of the post General Manager (Legal)” ExplanatoryMemorandum: Anything done or omitted to be done prior to notification of this amendment shall not be affected by promulgation of this amendment. OR By deputation / direct recruitment from officers under the Central Government or State Governments or Union Territories or Universities or Recognized Research institutions or Public Sector Undertakings or Semi Government or Statutory or Autonomous Organizations and other Government Bodies: (i) holding analogous post in the pay scale of PB-3 (Rs.|5600-39100) with Grade Pay Rs.7600 (in CDA pattern) on regular basis; or (ii) with three years of regular service in the post carrying the pay scale of PB-3 (Rs.15600-39100) with Grade Pay Rsi6600 (in CDA pattern); and Possessing the educational qualifications and experience stipulated in column 7. Period ofdegutation Normally 4 years but may be extended/ curtailed with the approval of Competent Authority.
