SO 149 (E) dated 08-01-2025-Amendment in Reconstitution of SEIAA-SEAC Tamil Nadu

EXTRAORDINARY PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 147] NEW DELHI, WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 8, 2025/PAUSHA 18, 1946 MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT, FOREST AND CLIMATE CHANGE NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 8th January, 2025 S.O. 149(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986) and in pursuance of the proviso to sub- paragraph (6) of paragraph 3 and proviso to clause (c) of paragraph 5 of the notification of the Government of India in the erstwhile Ministry of Environment and Forests, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), vide number S.O. 1533(E), dated the 14th September, 2006, the Central Government considering it necessary and expedient, hereby extends the term of the Chairman and Members of the State Level Environment Impact Assessment Authority, Tamil Nadu and the term of the Chairman and Members of the State Level Expert Appraisal Committee, Tamil Nadu for a period up to 10th April, 2025 or till the re-constitution of the State Level Environment Impact Assessment Authority and the State Level Expert Appraisal Committee, as the case may be, whichever is earlier, and for that purpose makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change number S.O. 146 (E), dated the 11th January, 2022, namely:- In the said notification,⸺ (a) in paragraph 2, for the words “three years”, the words “three years and three months” shall be substituted; (b) in paragraph 6, for the words “three years”, the words “three years and three months” shall be substituted.
