Directorate of Agriculture Notification In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 1 of the Goa Fruit and Ornamental Plant Nurseries (Regulation) Act, 1995 (Goa Act 13 of1997) (hereinafter called as the "said Act"), the Government of Goa hereby appoints the 15th day of February, 1998 as the date on which the said Act shall come into force. Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Goa in the Seventy-third Year of the Republic of India as follows:— 1. Short title and commencement.— (1) This Act may be called the Goa Fruit and Ornamental Plant Nurseries (Regulation) (Amendment) Act, 2022. (2) It shall come into force at once. 1. Amendment of section 15.— In section 15 of the Goa Fruit and Ornamental Plant Nurseries (Regulation) Act, 1995 (Goa Act 13 of 1997) for the expression “with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees, or imprisonment for a term which may extend to one month, or with both”, the expression “with fine which may extend to five thousand rupees” shall be substituted.
